Annapurna Region
The Annapurna Region is one of the most popular trekking destinations in Nepal, offering diverse landscapes, rich culture, and stunning mountain views. The region is home to the iconic Annapurna Massif, which includes peaks like Annapurna (8,091 meters), Machapuchare (6,993 meters), and Dhaulagiri (8,167 meters). The Annapurna region is well-known for trekking routes that cater to different levels of experience, from short treks to challenging multi-week expeditions.
Upon arrival at Kathmandu airport, our associate will transfer you to the hotel in a private vehicle. During the day, you can rest at the hotel. Or you can visit trekking gear shops in Thamel if you still need to get essential trek gear. In the evening, you'll have your trek briefing session with your trek guide and tour manager. As a welcome, we'll organize a welcome dinner for you.
Start your day with breakfast, after breakfast; you’ll have two options as we prepare to leave kathmandu for Pokhara. One, taking an eight hours long drive through bumpy roads or flying from Kathmandu to Pokhara for 25 minutes. If you want to fly to Pokhara, we'll provide the flight. However, you should provide us with the flight requirement while booking. And if you wish to take a drive, you'll get a tourist bus/private 4WD jeep. You can relax in the hotel or stroll around the Lakeside, Pokhara, for the rest of the day. Visit Tal Barahi Temple and head to hotel have dinner and spend your night while resting.
You can visit Phewa Lake in the morning before breakfast at the hotel. And after breakfast, you’ll prepare for the trek. You’ll get a jeep ride from your hotel to Nayapul and Birethanti, the official starting point of the 12-day Annapurna Base camp Trek. You’ll get ACAP permits at Birethanti and prepare for the hike to Hile. You’ll hike 9 km to hile from Birethanti, taking 3hrs, accompanied by our experienced trek guide
After leaving the tea house at Hile with a fantastic breakfast, you’ll hike to Ulleri. Ulleri is another beautiful hamlet en route, but reaching here is tiring. The beautiful stone stairs of Ulleri require you to take one step at a time. Past Ulleri, you’ll reach Banthati, with ample tea houses. With some rest at Banthati, you’ll continue the hike to Ghorepani. Here, you’ll need to verify your trekking permits.
Sunrise at Poonhill is not a miss-out thing. So, you’ll wake up early and follow your trek guide, who will take you to the Poonhill vantage point. From here, you’ll see the beautiful Annapurna Mountains lighted yellow with the morning sun. After returning to Ghorepani, you’ll prepare for the hike to Tadapani-the trekking trail from Ghorepani to Tadapani trails through scattered hamlets, rhododendron blossoms, and dancing waterfalls.
Mt. Fishtail (Machapuchre) and Dhaulagiri are best visible from Tadapani in the early morning. So, you’ll wake up early, catch the beautiful panorama of these mountains, have breakfast, and prepare for the hike to Sinuwa. You’ll stop at Chhomrong for lunch. The route to Chhomrong is moderately descending from Tadapani through a verdant forest. After Chhomrong. You’ll descend steeply to a river and cross a suspension bridge, and after a bridge, a one-hour hike to sinuwa is a steep ascend.
The most beautiful section on the Annapurna base camp trek route is from sinuwa to himalaya. You’ll hike along Bamboo, oak, fern, and rhododendron forests. In some sections, you'll even see beautiful waterfalls. You'll descend from Sinuwa to Bamboo for an hour. Past Bamboo, you'll gain some altitude and reach Dovan. From Dovan, the trekking trail to the Himalayas gets a steep ascend. You'll have your lunch at a tea house in the Himalayas. Upon leaving Himalaya, in two hours, you'll reach Deurali. On a clear day, from Deurali, the west face of Machhapuchhre becomes visible.
You’ll start the hike with breakfast at the tea house. For one and a half hours, you'll walk along the gorge, surrounded by towering hills. Upon reaching Machapuchre Base Camp, you'll first glimpse Annapurna I and South. Past Machapuchre Base Camp, you'll first take a steep ascend. The remaining trail to Annapurna Base Camp becomes easy and slanted at just 7-8 degrees. Upon reaching the base camp, you'll stop for photographs at the board saying, "Welcome to Annapurna Base Camp". From here, you'll hike for five minutes to the tea houses. You'll have your lunch at the tea house. During the day, you can stroll around the base camp area.
You’ll wake up early at the base camp and hike to the sunrise view point. The beautiful sunrise on Annapurna Mountains is best visible from the ridge near the tea house. After breakfast, you’ll prepare for the return hike. Today, you’ll hike for 6hrs to bamboo. You’ll retrace the same route back. You’ll stop for lunch at Himalaya/Dovan.
After breakfast, you’ll leave Bamboo to Jhinu. The first section of the hike is a steep ascend to Sinuwa. En route, you'll get the final glimpse of Machapuchre Mountain between the woods of bamboo forest. From Sinuwa, you'll descend an hour to Chhomrong's end. You'll cross the bridge and make a tiring ascend to Chhomrong top. The stone-paved stairs here can be very tiring, especially for hikers with knee problems. You'll stop for lunch at a tea house in Chhomrong. After lunch, you'll descend for 40 minutes to Jhinu. In the evening, your guide will take you to the natural hot spring at Jhinu. The warm water at the pools relaxes your tired muscles and makes you feel relaxed.
You’ll get a jeep ride from Jhinu to Pokhara. Upon leaving the tea house at Jhinu, you'll cross a suspension bridge first. Our associate will be there to pick you up in a private jeep. You'll reach Pokhara in 2.5 hours. After lunch, you'll have the option of either flying or taking a jeep ride to Kathmandu from Pokhara. Whatever you prefer, we'll make arrangements for each. Arrive at Kathmandu and explore thamel streets, enjoy the nepali dinner with cultural dance.
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. Check out from the hotel and transfer to Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport for your onward journey. Bid farewell to Nepal and board your flight back to your country.
